Student Life

At Summit, we strive to honor the whole child, so we provide opportunities to grow academically, spiritually, socially, artistically, and athletically.

Garden

We have a garden that our middle school students work in each week to harvest organically-grown vegetables.

This program is designed to teach students principles of entrepreneurship and the value of hard work.  Our Sharks sell these vegetables at their own farm stand each week and at the end of the school year they get to decide how they would like to bless the school with their earnings.

STEM

Our STEM elective encourages students to think creatively, solve problems, and explore the world through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through hands-on projects, tinkering, experimentation, and trial-and-error learning, students develop critical thinking skills, resilience, and confidence while discovering how innovation shapes the world around them.

The Arts

Athletics

Athletics are an important part of the student experience at Summit Christian School, providing opportunities for teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Students have the opportunity to participate in cheer, basketball, cross country, soccer, volleyball, and flag football.

Summit is a member of a local athletic conference, allowing our student-athletes to compete against other schools of similar size throughout the region. Through competition and teamwork, students develop confidence, perseverance, leadership skills, and lasting friendships both on and off the field.

Foreign Language

We offer traditional art instruction as well as music and drama classes.

We see the many (research-proven!) benefits of the arts on student growth and learning, and want every Shark to gain this important exposure. We also desire to help raise up an "Army of Worshippers" who are equipped to lead Christ's Church in the worship of our Savior!

Students in grades 3–5 participate in Spanish once each week, building a foundation in vocabulary, conversation, and cultural awareness.

In middle school, students receive Spanish instruction daily, allowing them to develop greater proficiency and confidence as they grow in their language skills. Through consistent exposure and engaging lessons, students gain valuable tools that will benefit them academically, personally, and professionally for years to come.
